Windows 8 Build Conference … Sold Out

Interest in Windows 8 continues to grow and as proof, the Windows 8 Build Conference slated for mid September, has sold out as of August 1st. The conference will show developers what to expect with the new OS and how to develop apps for it.

World Wide Builds Conference

The Windows 8 Build conference is also being held simultaneously around the world. Among the countries where Microsoft’s Developer and Platform Evangelism (DPE) team is expected to hold (at least) one-day events are France, Spain, Sweden, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Ireland, Denmark, Belgium, Greece and the Netherlands, Dubai also seems to be hosting a Build event.

The Official Statement

According to Microsoft developers should go to the conference in order to:

“Hear how the (Windows) UI was designed to work seamlessly with a diversity of devices and form factors. Go behind the scenes and learn all about the new app model that allows you to create powerful new apps. All while retaining the ability to use your existing apps. Web-connected and web-powered apps built using HTML5 and JavaScript have access to the power of the PC. Touch-optimized browsing, with the full power of hardware-accelerated Internet Explorer 10 transforms your experiences with the web. BUILD is the first place to dive deep into the future of Windows.”

What can Attendees Expect from the Build Conference?

Attendees should get a feel of the Windows 8 client (and maybe even Windows Server icon cool Windows 8 Build Conference ... Sold Out around the time of the build conference. Whether these are Windows 8 bits or called Community Technology Preview is still not certain. However, on a practical scale,  hardware partners and developers will be able to get hands-on experience with the Windows 8 touch-centric user interface and learn get a feel for how to create apps that leverage the power and the flexibility of the  Windows 8 OS.

Other issues may make the conference, but whether they are official or not remains to be seen. Such issues about the extent of ARM processors on the Windows 8 system. Likewise developers using Silverlight and Visual Studio version 2012 may not find enough information about these products and how the deal with Windows 8.
