Steve Ballmer To Deliver CES 2012 Keynote

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer is set to deliver the opening keynote for CES 2012 once again, and more than likely it will be full of Windows 8 news.

Over the past couple of years, Microsoft has been keynoting at CES. Over the years they’ve launched the original Xbox, Avatar Kinect and in 2009 they launched the first public beta of Windows 7. So I think it’s a pretty safe bet to assume at this stage that Windows 8 will be taking center stage at this keynote. Hopefully we will see the first public beta. A technical preview is expected to arrive in September.

Company insiders are also confirming that the keynote will be jam packed with Windows 8 goodies. Ballmer will more than likely demo a number of ARM and Intel based Windows 8 tablets that will hit the market later in 2012 when Windows 8 is generally available.

Steve Ballmer tends to get rather excited at these sort of events, so it will certainly be interesting and entertaining to watch him deliver his keynote speech.
